Butterflies and Moths at
Hacienda Clemente Jacques & Villa San Clementito.
Mexico's most revered butterfly is the Monarch. Although Tepoztlan does not have the large wintering butterfly sanctuaries of nearby states, Monarchs nevertheless find their way here, such as this one photographed in September 2024.
In addition to the Monarch butterfly pictured above, there are a good number of other species of both butterflies and moths that grace us with their presence throughout the year. Some of these are pictured below.
